Come and experience community
At NEWBOLD HOUSE
Recruitment Campaign

We need members with a wide variety of skills and enthusiasms collectively encompassing administration, business development, communication, childcare, cooking, education, gardening, homecare, maintenance, management and marketing. Spiritual and emotional maturity and physical and mental health all help!

"The PURPOSE of the NEWBOLD HOUSE COMMUNITY is to help create a more peaceful, compassionate and sustainable world through being a centre for awakening consciousness; providing transformative experiences for our visitors, guests and house members, whilst demonstrating joyful, loving and authentic community."

(Should this/also appear under Who We Are?)

We are a group of eight adults and one child living in and around a beautiful Victorian mansion with gardens, orchard and woodland. An independent part of the wider Findhorn Foundation Community we are situated close to the small town of Forres, surrounded by beautiful countryside and enjoying the wonderful climate of the Moray Firth area. We are committed to creating joyful, authentic and sustainable community with a spiritual focus whilst holding a welcoming space for residential retreats, workshops and trainings as well as local events. We are working towards creating more education from within the community.

We invite those who would like to explore membership or simply experience our way of life, to take part in our Working Guest Programme. Please check out our website (www.newboldhouse.org) and email us with some information about yourself (office@newboldhouse.org).

What Members are ...

Members are the “core” of the community. They are completely committed to the vision, the purpose and all the details of the community including financial awareness. They commit to inter-personal relationship and common spiritual practice, acting as a group who willingly share their own future and spiritual development. They are the main actors for the decision making process. They receive food, accommodation and a fixed low wage and are subject to a process of peer review.
