Newbold House hosts a wide variety of workshops and is available to
hire for mini-conferences, retreats or regular classes.
The facilities we provide include the use of our beautiful function rooms,
full accommodation, our comfortable and quiet house and gardens and a great natural setting.
In July 2007 we started to collect feedbacks from our customers.
Internet Connection
We have wireless broadband covering all the house (usually switched off at night). We also provide free use of a work station connected to the internet and equipped with micro-headphones for Skype or other VOIP calls. Both these facilities are free for guests to use.
Function Rooms

The Front Room (8.5m x 6.5m). Decorated in calm soft greens, this airy and spacious room looks out
on our extensive lawns from high sash windows. The
finished pitched pine floor beneath the warm rugs provides the
perfect dance floor.
The Music Room (4.5m x 6.5m). Two sliding panelled doors open from the front room onto the music room
to create one large room. The music room can be used as a breakout
space or informally as a lounge/relaxing area.
The Art Room (8.5m x 5.5m). Fully carpeted, with stained glass windows and an open fireplace, this
room is popular for body-oriented and meditative healing work. It has
an inbuilt screen for overhead projector/slides
Other Rooms
Therapy Rooms. Counselling and fitted massage rooms available for use by local
therapists - we will gladly recommend an appropriate therapist for the
healing technique of your choice during your stay.
Crystal Palace. A glass conservatory abundant with plants and light, this is a lovely space for reflecting or chatting with friends.

from our own gardens or locally sourced wherever possible.
We cater for ethical
veganism; medically diagnosed allergies to dairy/gluten (such
as coeliac disease) and yeast/sugar free diets ( in the case of candida etc).
However, due to heavy demand on the kitchen we cannot undertake to
cater for mild food intolerances.
Stunning views from the bay windows overlook the lawn. The pantry is for guests to make refreshments during breaks!
Bedrooms and Accommodation We can accommodate up to 23 people in mainly shared bedrooms (2 to 4 places).

How to Book a Venue
When contacting us with an enquiry about function room bookings, it would help us enormously if you’re able to give us the following information at the time of your enquiry:
- Dates of your planned booking (so that we can immediately determine room availability)
- Estimated arrival and departure times (as above)
- What meals will be taken by the residents and non-residents each day (for catering purposes)
- Times the function room(s) will be require each day (to help us determine availability of those rooms)
- Purpose of booking (to make sure it meets Newbold’s vision for the type of education, healing, growth and transformative experiences we aspire to host)
- Minimum and maximum number of potential participants and leaders (to help us determine whether we can meet your needs for accommodation, the size of function room required, and other resources that might accompany your estimated numbers)
- An idea of how you plan to market your event (to assess whether and how we might be able to assist you, e.g. by listing your programme on Newbold’s website, or in our annual printed programme, or in our regular adverts submitted to holistic publications well known in the UK)
- Who will handle the bookings for this programme – e.g. the workshop organiser or Newbold House (if Newbold House administers all enquiries and bookings, we may ask for an additional fee)
Once we know we can accept your booking, we will ask for a (non-refundable, but transferable) deposit to secure.
Later we will also need the following information from you:
- What facilities you will need during your programme (e.g. flipchart, TV/DVD, projector etc)
- How you would like us to arrange the room e.g. seating.
- If we are to help you market your programme, you’ll be asked to give us full details of the event (we’ll send you a workshop template to complete and return)
- If Newbold is to handle all enquiries and bookings we’ll need to know:
- The residential and non-residential fees you charge.
- The deposit you wish participants to pay.
- ?(What does this mean?)Receive from you marketing materials
- If you are to handle all the enquiries and bookings, we’ll want to know:
- How many rooms to reserve for you
- Participants names
- Whether anyone is likely to want additional accommodation before/after your programme and how they will arrange this.
- Any dietary restrictions
Most arrangements are negotiable and building up a sound relationship is important to us. If you become a regular user (which we term an ‘associate’) of Newbold House for your events, we can also offer additional benefits. So, do give us a call, or email us, with your enquiry. And please remember to book your programme well in advance; March to September are especially popular months, as is Easter; New Year and Bank holiday weekends.
